FAQ

Common questions about our services.

If your question isn't answered here, call us at 561-318-3729 — a licensed principal will answer.

How long does a typical custom home take to build?

Ground-up custom homes in South Florida typically run 12–18 months from permit to move-in, depending on scope, finish selections and permit timelines. Renovations range from 4–9 months. Every proposal ships with a realistic schedule with milestones.

Do you take on smaller renovations or only whole-home projects?

We handle both. Kitchen renovations, primary-suite refits and full-gut whole-home renovations are all regular work — we just commit to doing them right rather than fast.

What areas of Florida do you build in?

Headquartered in West Palm Beach, we build across Palm Beach County — Palm Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, Jupiter, Wellington, Delray Beach, Boca Raton and Boynton Beach — plus Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Naples and Vero Beach on request.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Avalon Builders is a fully licensed Florida general contractor and carries full liability and workers-compensation insurance. Documentation is provided with every proposal.

How are budgets and change orders handled?

Every proposal breaks the project down by scope, allowances and exclusions up front — no hidden line items. Change orders are documented before work begins and priced transparently. Invoice day is never a shock.
